Research Projects at the Institute for General Practice

Topics and main focus of our ongoing research projects:

  • The BayFoNet project focuses on building a network of research practices in general medicine throughout Bavaria
  • The GAP project focuses on the role of doctor-patient-communication for patients with uncomplicated back pain
  • The WirtMed project focuses on the economic efficiency when prescribing medication

Topics and main focus of our past research projects:

  • The PRO PRICARE network from 2017 to 2020 connected science and practice and was dealing mainly with the issue of overdiagnosis in the health system
  • The ACE project wants to identify unnecessary medical measures for thyroid diseases
  • The ICE project focuses on the role of doctor-patient-communication for patients with uncomplicated back pain
  • The ICF project develops instruments that help  focus on functionality and useful medicine for geriatric patients
  • Our model practice MVZ Eckental focuses on clinical governance and inter-professional care
