Dr. PH Maria Sebastiao

Ms Sebastiao studied speech and language therapy at the HAWK Hildesheim. She completed her doctorate as part of the GESA doctoral programme at the Institute of Epidemiology, Social Medicine and Health Systems Research at the Hannover Medical School and subsequently continued to work at the Institute. Since 2019, she has been working as a research assistant at the Institute of General Practice.

Ms Sebastiao has been Research Coordinator at the Institute of General Practice since March 2022. Her responsibilities include the management and coordination of externally funded projects and the support of researchers in obtaining external funding. In her own research work, the focus is on the patient perspective in health care. Methodologically, she focuses on qualitative research. In addition, she teaches " Medical history training" and "How to start a doctoral thesis".
