Research Network BayFoNet

Good research needs to be close to practice and people. During the planning, conception and the ongoing research processes of a study, scientists depend on the  constructive critisism from general practitioners, medical assistants and supportive citizens. In order to strengthen clinical research in general practice, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is funding the development of the Bavarian Research Network in General Practice (BayFoNet).

BayFoNet is supported by five Bavarian institutes of general practice at the locations of the University Hospital Würzburg, the Ludwig-Maximilians-University, the Technical University of Munich, the University of Augsburg and the University Hospital Erlangen. The goal is to establish a sustainable, dynamic network of general practitioner research practices in Bavaria.

A network of general practitioners and university institutions of general practice in Bavaria is to be established in order to improve networking and cooperation between the university, the general practitioner and citizens.
