Dr. phil. Susann Hueber

Susann Hueber studied psychology at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. She then worked as a Research Associate at the Institute of Psychology and received her doctoral degree in neuroscience. Prior to her university studies, she worked as a nurse at the University Hospital Erlangen.

In March 2014, Susann Hueber joined the Institute of General Practice as head of research. She is responsible for scientific leadership, management and coordination of research funding applications and projects.

Her research focuses on identifying and preventing overdiagnosis and overtreatment. She also works on adaptation of healthcare to the impacts of climate change.

Susann Hueber is a member of German Society for General Medicine and Family Medicine (DEGAM) . At our university, she is an active member of the Convention of Research Assistants at FAU and a member of the Commission for Conflict Resolution in Academic Workplaces.
