Bavarian Research Network
ood research requires close ties to clinical practice and people. When planning and designing studies, as well as during ongoing research processes, researchers rely on the critical and constructive input of family physicians, medical assistants, and members of the public. To strengthen clinical research in general practice, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has funded the establishment of the Bavarian Research Network in General Medicine (BayFoNet).
BayFoNet is supported by six Bavarian institutes for general medicine located at the University Hospital of Würzburg, Ludwig Maximilian University, the Technical University of Munich, the University of Augsburg, and the University Hospital of Erlangen. The goal is to establish a sustainable, dynamic network of general practice research practices in Bavaria. Together, we aim to improve networking and collaboration among universities, general practice clinics, and the public.
